Individuals and firms who are interested in engaging in business in Guam must obtain a business license prior to starting their business operations. Most licensing transactions can be processed and approved at a single location, the Government of Guam’s ONE STOP LICENSING CENTER located at 542 N. Marine Drive, Tamuning, Guam 96913, Telephone No. (671) 646-3259 or Facsimile No. (671) 649-6178. Hours of operation for the center are from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, except legal holidays.

    TUMON, GUAM – September 4, 2014 - The Guam Economic Development Authority (GEDA) and the Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) along with other private and public partners are predicting unprecedented growth for Guam. Investors from throughout Asia and the U.S. have been invited to Guam on October 22 through October 24th to discuss and explore how to participate and capitalize on the potential Guam offers. The economic symposium Invest Guam - The Time is Now will be held at the Hyatt Regency Guam.
     
    Governor Calvo commented on the importance of the symposium stating, "Guam's economy is at a crucial growth period that will present a wealth of opportunities for local businesses of all sizes. It is critical that we capitalize on these opportunities and lay a solid foundation for the island's steady, continuous, and sustained economic growth.”  (continued...)

  • Request for Proposals No. 14-013 - Lot 1, Block 5, Tract 259, E.T. Calvo Memorial Industrial Park, Tamuning, Guam
    Post Date: 03-September-2014 The Guam Economic Development Authority is issuing this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) for the lease availability of Lot Number Lot 1, Block 5, Tract 259, ET, Calvo Memorial Industrial Park, Tamuning, Guam consisting of approximately 3,702 square meters of undeveloped land (The Property). The Property is located behind the ITC Building in Tamuning and is adjacent to ITC’s parking area and Kontenda’s Gym. GEDA intends to negotiate a sublease agreement for the Property that allows a prospective offeror to implement development plans and to pledge the leasehold interest to secure development financing, if required by the offeror. GEDA does not have any particular uses in mind at the present time for the property and encourages prospective offerors to submit proposals advocating property use concepts that satisfy developer as well as GEDA objectives.

    Post Date: 20-August-2014 The Guam Economic Development Authority invites you to submit a proposal for Real Estate Broker Services. At various times the Guam Economic Development Authority (GEDA) has acquired real property through foreclosure. GEDA is best served by retaining a firm with expertise in professional real estate broker services to facilitate the sale of these properties on the open market following standard real estate practices. Therefore, GEDA is soliciting proposals from qualified Real Estate Brokers to perform the services of a listing broker. A more complete description of the services sought for this project is provided in Section 3, Scope of Project. Proposals submitted in response to this solicitation must comply with the instructions and procedures contained herein.

  • DETERMINATION OF NEED FOR EXCEPTIONAL TERM CONTRACT: Lot 1, Block 5, Tract 259 Tamuning, Guam

    The Guam Economic Development Authority (hereinafter referred to as “GEDA”) intends to issue a Request for Proposals (“RFP”) for the lease availability of Lot Number Lot 1, Block 5, Tract 259, ET, Calvo Memorial Industrial Park, Tamuning, Guam consisting of approximately 3,702 square meters of undeveloped land (The Property).

    The Property is located off Route 1 and adjacent to the ITC Building’s rear parking lot and Kontenda’s Gym. GEDA intends to negotiate a sublease agreement for the Property that allows a prospective developer to implement its proposed and approved development plans. The Property has potential for commercial or industrial use as it is located within the E. T. Calvo Memorial Industrial Park. GEDA intends to negotiate a lease agreement for the Property that allows a prospective lessee to utilize the Property for land uses consistent with the M-1 Light Industrial Zone designation.
